Beyond the Script: Transform Your Breath, Transform Your Life

Discover a hands-on, individualized approach to breathwork that meets you where you are — physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Many breathwork classes follow a simple format: the facilitator sits at the front of the room and reads a script while everyone follows the same breathing pattern.

That’s not how I work.

While there is guidance and structure, my role is much more interactive. I don’t simply read a script and hope the process unfolds for everyone in the same way. Instead, I pay close attention to each participant’s breathing pattern and support them individually throughout the session.

Breathing is deeply personal. Each person arrives with their own unique pattern — shaped by life experiences, emotional history, and the ways their nervous system has learned to stay safe.

No one consciously chooses these patterns.

We truly breathe the best we can based on the level of safety we feel, the fears we have carried, and our readiness for change.

Your Breath Reflects Your Life

Our breathing patterns often mirror how we move through life.

For example, someone who struggles with receiving — perhaps because of feelings of unworthiness — may find that their inhale feels shallow or restricted. Taking in a full breath can feel unfamiliar or even uncomfortable.

Others may have difficulty with letting go. Their exhale may be forced, shortened, or held back, reflecting how challenging it can feel to release control or surrender.

Some people arrive breathing with a lot of effort, trying to “do it right.” This often mirrors perfectionist or overachiever tendencies in life.

Others may breathe very lightly, barely allowing the breath to move through the body at all.

These patterns are not mistakes.

They are intelligent adaptations the body developed over time — survival strategies that helped us navigate stress, emotional experiences, and life’s challenges.

Why I Work Individually With Each Person

Breathwork hands on facilitation

In my training as a Transformational Breath® facilitator, we were taught to carefully observe breathing patterns and recognize where breath may not be moving freely.

Even when practicing conscious circular breathing, most people will eventually return to their default breathing pattern.

This is where my role becomes important.

As participants breathe, I move around the room, observing subtle cues — the movement of the chest and belly, the rhythm of the breath, tension patterns, effort, pauses, or areas where breath may not be flowing fully.

When appropriate, I may offer gentle hands-on facilitation to help support the breath in moving into areas where it has been restricted.

Often these are areas where the body has been protecting itself.

When Breath Reaches New Places

There is a well-known understanding in somatic work:

“The issues are in the tissues.”

Our bodies often store emotional experiences that were never fully processed. When the breath begins to move into areas that have been tight, guarded, or disconnected, things can begin to shift.

Not because we force it.

But because the body is finally given permission to release what it has been holding.

Supporting the Body’s Natural Release

During sessions I may also incorporate supportive elements such as:

• toning (using sound and vibration)
• gentle movement to release tension in the body
• thoughtfully curated music that supports the emotional and nervous system journey

All of these elements help create the conditions for the body to soften, open, and allow energy to move again.

Over time, the breath becomes a powerful ally in reconnecting with your authentic self — beyond old survival patterns or self-sabotaging behaviors.

A Path to Deeper Connection

Many participants report that when their breath and energy flow freely, a profound shift occurs. The breath becomes a doorway to deeper connection — to themselves, to their Source, to God, or to the Universe. People often describe feeling their heart and mind open, experiencing emotional clarity, insights, and a sense of expansive presence. These experiences highlight the subtle but powerful spiritual dimension of breathwork, offering alignment, peace, and wholeness that goes beyond words.

A Space for Your Breath to Guide the Way

Whether in a group setting or an individual session, my intention is always the same:

To create a space where your breath can guide you back into deeper connection with yourself.

Not by forcing change.

But by allowing the body to release what it is ready to release.

Your breath already knows the way.

Sometimes it simply needs the right support.

Invitation

In my breathwork sessions, I work gently with your body, breath, and nervous system — supporting the natural flow of energy and helping areas that have been held or restricted open at their own pace.

If this resonates with you, you’re welcome to join a monthly group session at the Bamboo Garden in Delray Beach or reach out to explore an one-on-one session.
